MY t-bus app

The My T-Bus app project targets user challenges, particularly accessing UT Bus Routes. Its overloaded interface hampers navigation, impacting students' efficiency in campus transportation planning, prompting the need for streamlined accessibility.

My Role

As the UX designer for this project, my responsibilities involved conceptualizing and designing the T-Bus app interface. I collaborated with the development team and stakeholders to ensure user-centric design solutions. The project spanned six months, from initial research to implementation.

Problem statement

Users of the Tennessee app, designed by UTK, encounter difficulties accessing the UT Bus Routes system due to its integration within a cluttered app interface. Navigating to bus routes, locating stops, and planning journeys becomes convoluted, leading to late arrivals and challenges in traversing the expansive campus.

goals

To alleviate user struggles within the Tennessee app, the goal was to develop the T-Bus app as a separate entity tailored for UTK students. The focused app would offer streamlined navigation, real-time bus notifications, live bus tracking, nearest stop identification, and estimated arrival times, ensuring efficient campus transportation.
